Repeat Prescriptions and Ongoing Referrals

To satisfy medico-legal obligations and ensure optimal patient management and treatment, an appointment is required for the issuing of repeat prescriptions. When you know your current prescription is about to run out or is expiring, please book an appointment with a GP. This applies certainly if it has been more than 3 months since a patient has seen a GP at this location

When you have recently seen the doctor, an appointment may not be necessary and prescriptions may be requested over the telephone. A non-rebatable fee of $30.00 is charged to cover the doctor's administrative time. 

An appointment is also necessary to discuss details leading to a referral for third party services.

If you have lost or misplaced a prescription or pre-written referral and need it replaced, you may make an appointment or request this over the phone. A fee of $30.00 will apply for telephone orders.

24 hours notice is required for prescriptions and referrals to be available for collection from Reception.
